What could it mean if I'm having no discharge?

My period should be starting within the next week or two, however I'm experiencing no discharge. Usually i have a little bit. I may be being more paranoid because I am sexually active, but my boyfriend pulls out and I'm told there is no sperm in the pre-ejaculant unless he had previously ejaculated. What could having no discharge mean? is it normal? Is it too early, and should i wait till its closer?
