When my husband gets angry, even if the fight is small, he goes on a rage. Recently he pretends to hit me?

He will come up behind me and swings so hard i can feel the air. He is pretending to punch me with all his strength. Im 9 months pregnant and it scares me so much. I don't know if i'm justified to be scared at a fake hit. He does have a short temper and he will say things he doesn't mean and storm about the house and do something dramatic like move into the guest bedroom or take the tv out of the living room and put that in his "new" room and more often than not he leaves the house for a certain amount of time, somewhere between 1 to 6 hours...sometimes over night. You'd think that would give him time to relax but it seems like he just lets the anger marinade. My point is has anyone ever heard of someone pretending to his someone out of anger ? is it normal that is scares me and am I over reacting?? :(
